  • Position Title: Commercial Truck Equipment Installation Technician
    Truck Equipment Division

    Position Summary:
    Under supervision, is responsible for the installation of electrical and hydraulic fluid control systems, truck bodies, frames and manufactured metal components onto various different types of commercial truck chassis. Duties may also include the maintenance, modification or repair of stated components.

    Illustrated Responsibilities:
    • Read, understand and apply technical information contained in third party manufacturer directions or Company build documents.
    • Determine best location for systems installation on vehicles and routes systems accordingly.
    • Install and make functional 12/24 volt wiring systems and hydraulically controlled fluid systems and their related components onto commercial truck chassis.
    • Tie-up and shield installed wiring or hydraulic hoses according to Company standards.
    • Install Company or third party manufactured components onto truck chassis’ with the use of gas cutting, hand plasma, and welding equipment.
    • Maintain job and task specific notes and/or records of installation and repair work to track activities ensuring work is fully documented.
    • Work in a safe manner following Company safety requirements which includes wearing personal protective equipment, completing maintenance requests and communicating potential hazards to co-workers and supervision.
    • Organize and perform work in a timely and productive manner at a pace that ensures the completion will be within the time-frame specified by the customer and agreed upon by the Company.
    • Pay close attention to detail working to achieve error-free performance.
    • Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area.
    • Follow policies, procedures, work methods, directives and work rules established by Company management.

    Work Environment:
    • Physical exertion necessitating full and unrestricted use of all limbs, major muscle groups and body movements.
    • Ability to lift parts or material that weighs up to 50 pounds.
    • Sporadic outside work will expose the employee to adverse weather conditions which may require the ability to tolerate extremes in temperature and weather conditions.
    • Shop environment will expose the employee to dirt, dust, grease, chemicals, sparks and loud noises.
    • Working within close proximity of equipment, power tools and machinery will require normal vision and hearing accuracy or any deficiency correctable to within normal ranges.

    Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
    Sound knowledge of the standard practices, methods, tools, equipment and machinery of the trade; mechanical experience including familiarity with 12/24 volt mobile vehicle electrical systems and basic knowledge of fluid controlled systems; ability to weld and operate hand plasma and cutting torch; ability to use and read electronic and hydraulic testing equipment; ability understand basic mathematics; ability to use measuring devices; ability to think logically and work accurately; ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates; ability comprehend and apply verbal and written instructions; ability to prioritize, schedule and complete projects efficiently; and the ability to work with minimum supervision. Employee may be required to perform the duties of a different classification.

    Minimum Employment Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalency.
    • Associates Degree or equal from Vocational/Trade/Technical school preferred.
    • Industry specific experience including knowledge of welding practices and the installation/troubleshooting of 12/24 volt electrical and hydraulic fluid power systems.
    • Possess personal hand, air and power tools.
    • Willingness to work overtime as required.
    • Forklift operation experience preferred.

  • Position Title: Welder / Fitter
    Manufacturing Division

    Position Summary:
    Under supervision, is responsible for the set-up and operation of welding equipment and to assemble, tack, and weld various types of fabricated parts. Duties will also include reading and applying information from engineered drawings to the production of manufactured products.

    Illustrated Responsibilities:
    • Read, understand, and apply technical information contained in engineered drawings, specifications, or manuals to the assembly of manufactured parts.
    • Modify, arrange, and assemble components into final products by cutting, burning, grinding and welding various types of fabricated mild and stainless steel.
    • Weld in various positions including but not limited to flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead using flux core and hard wire mig and or tig welding methods.
    • Clean and prepare surfaces for welding and set-up, assemble, and tack weld parts together.
    • Heat, form, and dress steel parts using hand tools, shop machines, gas torch or hand plasma equipment.
    • Develop templates, fixtures, or other work aids to hold and align parts during assembly.
    • Ensure correct fit or alignment of parts during assembly by utilizing measuring devices and trade associated tools that aid in aligning and holding parts in-place.
    • Pay close attention to detail working to achieve error-free performance.
    • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
    • Work in a safe manner following Company safety requirements which includes wearing personal protective equipment, completing maintenance requests, and communicating hazards to co-workers and management.
    • Organize and perform work in a timely and productive manner at a pace that ensures the completion will be within the time-frame specified by the customer and agreed upon by the Company.

    • High school diploma or equivalency.

    • Two (2) years of industry specific experience including knowledge of the various types of welding methods and practices.

  • Position Title: Machine Operator - CNC Plasma Table
    Manufacturing Division

    Position Summary:
    Under supervision, is responsible to set-up and operate CNC plasma cutter to cut steel parts in accordance with engineered drawings or written directives. Duties will also include CNC machine maintenance and dressing steel parts using hand tools and various types of machinery.

    Illustrated Responsibilities:
    • Plan machine operations by reviewing work orders, engineered drawings, material specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters.
    • Lift stock steel onto cutting surface of CNC machine and align for cutting.
    • Verify settings meet Company standards by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample work pieces.
    • Operate tools, equipment, and machinery with caution in order to prevent damage or injury to self or others.
    • Remove and organize cut steel parts from the cutting surface of the CNC machine.
    • Properly discard scrap materials generated by the cutting of stock plate steel.
    • Maintain organized storage of stock steel on racks.
    • Clean fabricated steel parts by deburring, drilling, buffing, etc. utilizing hand power tools and or Company machinery.
    • Transfer raw materials or fabricated parts/products within or between departments.
    • Maintain and clean CNC machinery as necessary.
    • Work in a safe manner following Company safety requirements which includes wearing personal protective equipment, completing maintenance requests, and communicating hazards to co-workers and management.
    • Organize and perform work in a timely and productive manner at a pace that ensures project completion will be within the time-frame specified by the customer and agreed upon by the Company.
    • Pay close attention to detail working to achieve error-free performance.
    • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
    • Follow policies, procedures, work methods, directives and work rules established by Company management.

Employee may be required to perform the duties of a different classification.

    Minimum Employment Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalency.
    • One (1) year of industry specific experience including knowledge of the practices and machinery used for the fabrication of steel parts and operation of CNC cutting machinery.
    • Possess personal hand, air and power tools.
    • Willingness to work overtime as required.
    • Forklift operation experience preferred.
